Sustainable Development Policy

AgroFresh Inc. is a leading expert in ethylene management.  Our environmental, health, safety, security and sustainable development values are of utmost importance to us.

Our Guiding Principles are:

1. We strive to ensure that our business, processes, and products not only consider the needs of the present global community, but also future generations' ability to meet their needs.  We have incorporated sustainability considerations into our business decisions.

2. We have performed a Life Cycle Assessment in 2008 and will continuously review and improve our worldwide operations, processes, and products.

3. We meet or exceed all applicable laws and regulations.

4. We provide our employees with a safe workplace, and ensure that our communities and other stakeholders understand our uncompromising commitment to safe and secure operations and products.  

5. We strive to prevent or reduce pollution from emissions, discharges, and wastes; we promote resource conservation throughout the life cycle of our products.

6. We communicate, listen, and are responsive to our employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, neighbors, governments, and other stakeholders.

7. We ensure that standards, procedures, and adequate resources are in place to implement the principles described in this policy.
